I have no pauses/skips

It seems that this version runs better, performance wise, than any of the other 2.1 versions. Need to play a little longer to be sure, but so far I've been running good.

Looks like you have trashed ini files.
I hope you DID NOT overwrite any files in the ../ut2004/system directory.

If you did, get a fresh copy of default.ini off your UT2004 cd/dvd and put it in ../ut2004/system.
Delete the deathball.ini and deathballuser.ini from ../ut2004/deathball/system. Restart deathball with the batch file or command and the needed files will rebuild.

Obviously I haven't played DB in a while.
I had an older version installed and some the DB files were in the UT2k4\system folder. These files were dated back to May/June.... so...

I deleted those and updated to 2.2 and everything is back up and running.
