2.1d was actually very good - for me anyway. I had no problems. I'm sure TV will get it sorted in time for 2.2...

told you there was a delay

It is possible for us to revert to 2.1d and restart from there. David make a list of all the 2.1f bugs and we'll make the call tonight. Im not too worried about the gun and talking bugs, I might know the fix for them.

We might be able to revert to 2.1d on those yet keep DB_pawn and DB_player too to get the delay fix we had in 2.1f. Basically we might be able to take the best of all the versions.

Get a good list on these bugs. I'll be home by 4pm central USA time.

THANKS FOR THE HELP TESTERS. ITS HARD FOR USE NOT HAVING SUCCESS. BUT WE NEED TO KEEP ON TO GET TO 2.2 IN HALF DECENT SHAPE. IT'S IMPORTANT FOR US.

It's not that bad, it just needs a little more concentration on the bugs rather than adding new features right now.

And I apologise for being a bit of an arse, but it's very annoying watching things go backwards.

Well WELL WELL

I must say ... all this work from TV is really bringing 2.1 to the old 1.9b gameplay...
2.1f is just great... of course not considering bugs (hummerbug, passbug and talkbug for the most)
But those will be fixed, i hope within friday , and i also hope u will be able to give to Epic a definitive release so players buying the game will be ready to play suddenly... without updating anything.

GG :p

Going a step forward sometimes takes you 2 step backs by accident and we dont notice it until we test it 5on5.

I'll say it again, 2.1 goes into UT2004 CE. We were in a hurry with this (AS ALWAYS x_x) otherwise i wouldnt have released 2.1. But 2.1 ain't that bad. Only experienced players notice the problems, but in the end its a good playable version.

About server probs:
It's only the 1234 server being fucked up.
DBL1 doesn't have all new maps yet, couldnt be arsed since we only play cube anyway :)
So it has the 2.0 greenbaize (!)

I think when 2.2 comes out there should be a big thing about it on deathball.net (something like UT2K4 CE users - click here to update Deathball). We want all ECE users to update to 2.2. I bet most of the mods in the new UT2K4 will need patching to play the lastest versions online...

UT2004 CE comes out in late September, we hope to have 2.3 out by then, we 'll try to conform 2.1 and 2.3. So 2.1ers can join 2.3 servers. But I will have to leave maps untouched for this. Code and textures can be conformed, but maps is difficult...

Maps untouched? So no keeper lines in Blocko for a while then! ;)

2 people on the same server with different maps = no, rather not :)

conforming textures and code is easy. its just giving you mismatches to avoid cheating, but we can subpress this

grrrrr well i just played anouther game on my server, 5v5 pickup. I passed to bloodeh on 2 occasions where we both thought he caught it... it went straight passed him.. but well within the catch radius.. like i said that happend to me before... also the fact there was an Release delay.. no one else has really mentioned the volley delay i talk about.. also i felt and said earlier i felt i was moving slower then other versions.. well it must be the 2 steps back...

this volley delay only seems to affect you tbh :|

please spellfix this:
"I passed to bloodeh on 2 occasions where we both thought he caught it... it went straight passed him.. but well within the catch radius.. like i said that happend to me before... "

Here ya go:

"I passed to bloodeh on 2 occasions, on both occasions the both of us thought that bloodeh should have had caught the ball.

The ball went straight to him, within the catch radius.

It happened to me before, have others experienced the same?"
