hi all,
is it a bug or a feature that the radar on smallcube is so small,
cause as defender its my main orientation point and i can hardly see anything on it.

remove the health and names
its just map size, thats perfect, otherwise you cant guess distances on it because it would be different on every map
use the middle radar too, helps a lot, always same size

@DavidM
it is different on every custom map and they are better to see.
the middle radar is not quite the point where i look at when i´m playing, cause the next wall would be mine...*tock*
the names and health on the right radar are very vital to me, so i will never turn them off....defender stuff
not an offence, why do u made the radar customizable, if the best view would be turned every thing off???
as defender i need one big and detailed radar, no matter how small the map is.

im not a fan of the miniature radar either..
do we really need to know how big the map is when looking at the lower radar?
i care more about the relationship of the positions of players..

you need it to play longer passes and to guess distances between people. hence it will be the same on all maps

basicly davidm is saying the smaller the map the smaller the "map".. c.c
so scale is always the same for distance reasons.

Wow, actually feel like we got somewhere... very impressed DavidM, I take back what I said earlier! Looks like this will be a good release, as for the 100 point downplay in self-volley speed... I'm not sure going from 1400 to 1300 had much affect (tested both settings) but certainly raising from 1000 was a great idea, other than that... I think this is a brilliant release, good work TV putting out a good bugfix release. Too bad this one can't go to UT2004 EE

@diab
i understood what the intention is, but as defender it will get alot harder to do my job if the radar for example on smallcube stays this small.
yesterday i ran around like a mad cow,
not knowing where i was, where i am and where i will be going.
so isnt it possible to make the radar size client side configurateable.
for example:
the mapper enters the correct map size coords in the radar actor (might be more than 4096).
and the user checks a bool in his config which on one side uses the original value and on the other the proportional values.
