I got on this server: GameServers.net DB 1.9 (3) Custom Maps

I was 1 second on this server and I got voted out and got temporarily banned. There were 2 guys playing on that server named:

Glatze
Rasierte

This server is a public server so open to join for everyone....
It seems they wanted to play 1on1....well make an own server then and put a pass on it....

Now my question is if the admin of this server (probably you DavidM) could track their ip's and ban them, cause I don't like this kind of behaviour. I think it were just 2 noobs or known players but nickfaking, I can't tell...

I got on this server around 13:45 on monday the 29th of december 2003.

Some might think I'm overreacting...well, I don't care that I couldnt play, cause there are other servers to play on, but I can't stand that 2 guys own up the server and think the server is theirs and vote everyone out who join.

I'm totally with you on this Triple_B. I got tempbanned from my own server by some idiots who wanted to play a 2v2 amongst themselves. I would have left 'em to it if they'd asked but we had a clan war to play. Went to webmin, banned 'em. Soon found out they were name faking when one of the teams we needed to play found their IPs banned.

I hate using smilies but this one seems apropriate.

That server is acctually panda's teritory i think so ur best bet is to track him down trip.

same happen to me too some atomic*don and jinz*hö banned me from 03.

I had the same once... I entered a server... no pass... they played 3v4 so i could be a balance to the teams... but as I entered... bitching, fucking... lamaing (? they still use that crap shit?) and they wanted me to get out... Of course I got out I don't play with ppl who yell at those whoenter a server...

Dunno what their names were but I can say it for sure... they were noobs

By the way... Those ppl who banned Triple... now those guys should be banned...

Solution: Dont let people vote kicks/bans...

Drawback: need a admin for people to contact "24/7" (not taken literally)

Solution: Less than 3 people on the server means you can't kick.

Although I spose the people who make mapvote would need to sort that out.

I agree. Giving everyone the right to temporarily ban someone just by voting is bad. It can be useful sometimes when there is a lamer that has to be taken care of immediately but most of the time it's misused. DavidM can't look into at the moment as he's on holidays. Notify him of this when he gets back
