ok hmm well as most ppl now im a keeper, and im having a weird problem with the respawning after a goal. maybe some other keepers have noticed the same but i havnt heared anyone about this yet. in clan games, this very often happens, i like to keep a bit far from the goal and closer to the edge of the penalty zone, dodging back when ppl go shoot or anything or frag em when they enter the penalty zone. now this ofcourse has a slight disadvantage, sometimes im outside the penalty zone when they score. so then a defender becomes the new keeper and i respawn somewhere in the field. so far so good, now the tricky part, i practicly respawn in the middle of the field at the ball 95% of the time. prolly even more but well i think 95% is enough to make ppl think about it. for example in our last dbl game vs FS. they had 3 goals where after the goal i was outside the penalty zone and a defender became keeper. all 3 times i respawned at the ball. its quite annoying and i dunno what in the world would cause this but as i said its atleast 95% of the times and so there must be something behind it.

I've noticed this too where Willei spawns by the ball and I have to cover the goal until he gets back. In pubs being able to 'escape' from goal is a good thing, but maybe something can be done to keep the keeper spawning as such?

what about something under the deathball menu tab, when ticked favours you as keeper for that team?

just enable it for clan matches for your keeper?

maby if theres more then one ticked (pubs or something) it can randomly pick out of those, or if theres none at all it picks anyone.

aye, like a local settings PreferKeeper=True or something...

It is a rare occasion, but I do find this an issue sometimes.

On that note though... I believe It was on a public gameservers.net server the other day and after every goal the keeper was changed, regardless of whether you were keeper or not, I had to keep running back there after kick off!

There's already a setting in ur ini where u can chose position (i think -.-).

My user.ini has

yea it happens to me all the time too harry. i pick up the ball after allmost every goal in any game i play. i think it must be sommit to do with being the last man back who isnt keeper allways collects the ball or sommit. i really dont get it, it does my head in :\

of course messiah this is not globaly known (if it works or not i dont know) and also requires you to open the ini.

so, adding a option in db will be worthwhile for every user, not a percentage.
