I havn't been keeping up on custom DB maps in a while and I thought it would be great for DavidM to compile an "Ownage" type map pack for DB with only the best custom maps. It would be cool if more servers ran maps other than just Cube maps. Maps that change gameplay a little and mix things up would be sweet.

i second that idea.. theres lots of good maps about, but with so many versions and things it would be a good idea to compile an official Map pack for DB.. (obviously get authors permissions first cos i know what DavidM is like)

I wouldn't trust DavidM to make a DB pwnage compilation. He'd just choose all the cubish maps. :p

jk, but those mappacks have some pretty crap maps in them as well.

btw there will be an aussie mappack soon(ish) with some very good maps from armagon, and various weird maps from other aussie mapmakers. but don't hold your breath, they've got to get off their arses and finish them :\

mm... spaceballs][ is my favorite map of all time. more fun than any of the release maps.

Yeah, I'm kinda annoyed by that. I've been wanting to see DB-Chamber and DB-TheWarehouse][ put on the server for quite a while now. The other mappers just told me to wait and they'd be put in an AU map pack. It's been over a month now, and they still haven't finished.

I'll tell you what. How about I have a go at putting this ownage compilation together for you lot? I don't suppose anyone would mind if I were to put DB-Chamber in their would you?
I'd really like to see it getting played.

I think if you got a group of people (3 or 4) and had them rate each map. with the best maps getting in.
to be honest i think aussie players are in the best position to vote on the maps, since we play custom maps very often (as in very very very very often)

ehm, it would be empty to be honest, whenever I see an pwnage map it will be added to the next release....that happened 4-5 times until now.
