Looks like you're in the same boat as me...

[rant]back in the days of 1.4b, I could jump online any time of the day and find at least 10 servers(euro and us) with people on them(at least 3 full) now, I'm lucky to see more than 4 servers with anyone on them(not counting servers with bots, what the hell is the point of bots?!)

Yes, there aren't much newcomers out there. and if there are some, they go to teams with a hand full of squads (exaggeration, but nearly...).
