Baller's Association?

Post by Imaginos »

Hey all, thought I would pipe up and see if we can't work out a little something to get together and do a little balling in public on a regular schedule.

BeyondUnreal has a weekly gathering tradition called FragBU.
With enough interest/participation from both the DB and CB regulars, we could certainly have a go at that as well. Get our sports mods a little more public notice and see what happens. Maybe alternate gametypes, 2 then 2, etc..

Any thoughts?

BTW, the other parties are the Carball players. We've comingled a bit, and they own the hell out of our guys in CB as payback for the pounding they take in our sport.. We should keep this going and play a few regularly with each other.

Hello there;

I'm a part of the Carball community, I lead one of the oldest teams there (over a year now \o/ )
Anyway, I think this is a great idea, infact before I played carball I tried a bit of Deathball, and failed miserably :D But I'd like to get back into it and maybe learn how to volley. lol.

Just a bit of praise from my part:
I've always like the Deathball maps, most of them are very highly polished and have a real atmosphere about them, such as DB-November? (I think that's what it's called). And the custom content really sets it apart from the main game.

Well unfortunately, the pickups that do start either take place on Db-Cube or Db-smallcube, So the only place to really play this map is on the pubs.
Not like the old days :<

Glad to hear you're giving it another go.

And he's right. People tend to whine about fps while at the same time they can't be arsed to turn the resolution and detail settings down.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I have all my settings on low or lower, DB doesn't need graphics to be good, and I can use the extra 20 fps.
