The bots suck, here is why.
This is all when playing single player:

They don't pass it to you when you want them to half the time.
The keeper leaves his box and that lets goals in.
They boost you when you don't want them too.
They aren't aggressive enough and don't rush players when they should.
And I'm sure the opposition keeper is cheating half the time when he stops goals that seem impossible to get to, which my guy always seems to miss.
They also can't tell if someone is in the way when they pass it to you.
So the reason I think I can't get anywhere in single player is not me, it's my team. I also think the bots need a huge improvement.

I also forgot to add that they don't follow you up the field when you need them to and
When you are staying up the attacking end and you want the rest of the team down the defending end some stupid bot always stands right next to you.

They don't suck that bad. I mean, it's a lot of programming to get them to do what real ballers would do. Their keeping skills are mostly what I use them for, and they are fine.

yes I know, but unfortunately I don't code AI. If I could I would have a go, but I can't. Their keeping skills seem to be bad on my team, but not on their team. I can barely get one past them, but they always score against mine.
But so I don't sound too critical, I think you did a fairly good job on them. They understand the basics of the game and they do work together sort of. They just lack some of the more advanced skills.
The other problem is that the opposition seems to be much better than my team. Especially when I finally got to ladder 2, the opposition were heaps aggressive, and a lot better.

Like I said, play pickups or publics o; pickups for team play, publics to... well get annoyed I guess

I'm from Australia, are there any servers here. Playing on a ping over 150 is kind of dodgy.

Isn't the OzForces server back up?

Btw, you can assign keeper/defensive/offensive tasks to them by hovering your mouse over them and clicking the appropriate button - you might have to assign those yourself - that will help a lot.

you can also spam the hell out of the bots and they wont complain

The problem with assigning them positions is they still leave the goal area. Even if not permanantly, sometimes they walk away long enough for a stray intercept to be a goal.
