Mouse Batteries

Post by Messy »

I've been having huge problems with my mouse batteries lately.

I've had my current mouse (Logitech MX 700) for about 2 years now, and somehow battery life seems to have shrunk to under 30 minutes :|

I can hardly play a match of DB these days w/o losing control over my mouse :<

Does anyone know how to maybe somehow enlarge battery life again (making it go fully empty then put it on the charger really long? /o\)

Or do you know if it's possible to buy new batteries for the MX series?

The MX 700 carries 2 AA NiMH batteries.

I'd appreciate any help :) (besides 'OMIGOSH BUY A NEW MOUSE' because I actually might..eventually :x MX1000 looks so cool ^_^)

I got the MX1000 and it works like a charm :D
A fully charged MX1000 can work for 21 days non-stop \o/

ok...first a question....why cordless?

Response: Either your batteries are cheap-ass....or your mouse is simple broken.

messy i have the same mouse, my battery has also weakened so the life is not as long as it used to be. ive used it for about a year and a half

the batteries need replacing, simple as that, u need to find another pair of nickel hyride rechargeable batteries just like those already in the mouse

The MX1000 batteries are supposed to be of a new sort that won't have bad battery life \o/

It's just that with nickel hydride if you charge it before it's fully empty, it seems to 'think' that that's the point of being empty, and takes that as it's new 'life'.

The problem for me though, is to find new batteries of that kind /o\

I have no idea where to go.

As someone said. I find cordless to be quite useless, really. (unless I am missing some fact that makes cordless super-duper superior to the corded version) Just... get a non-cordless mouse :p imo ;) It's not like you're gonna carry it around with you.

wireless is just a pain in the arse to be honest. been there, done that. not going back.

only time i condone wireless is with gamepads, eg on my xbox

but theres a big difference between the living room and the computer.
