ok i've got most of my map done except for the radar and the rest of the stuff below it in the guide. when i try to launch the map from unrealed i get a critical error:

any ideas would be appreciated. this is my first time ever making a map in ut2k4 or any other game. i'm pretty new to it, but the dvd edition tuturials help a lot. :p

Can't find file for package 'Deathball'

Did you just open up a db map and copy the shit out of it or edit it, or did you open up properly?

Proper way: make a shortcut to Ued and add the mod part

C:\UT2004\System\UnrealEd.exe -mod=deathball

yes, i ran it through run with the command line. if i didn't i wouldnt be able to set the DB player start points now would i...or the DB volumes. i didn't copy anything. i better figure it out soon or ill probably end up giving up. theres no way im starting over, it took soooo long.

have you got any db related files lingering around in the ut2004/system directory?

Never got my DB maps to work in UED either... I just got in the habit of closing it an opening up DeathBall.

Ut2004 ini file - add these paths

Paths=../Deathball/System/*.u
Paths=../Deathball/Maps/*.ut2
Paths=../Deathball/Music/*.ogg
Paths=../Deathball/Sounds/*.uax
Paths=../Deathball/StaticMeshes/*.usx
Paths=../Deathball/Textures/*.utx

You can load it through unrealed and look around but, you can't play it. Only DB- player starts might be the reason?

I always save, then play by starting deathball and going into botmatch.

Mebbe adding these to the ut2004.ini [Editor.EditorEngine] section too:
EditPackages=DeathballAI
EditPackages=Deathball_rc
EditPackages=Deathball

do you have a deathball.ucl in your ut2004\system directory or anything similar?
