It about time to get the ball rolling. Let the beta onslaught begin
Can't wait to see the new model, ball, ball karma, awards, and hopefully stats. Looking forward to the betas.
Yes, I know your not there yet - just looking forward.

i mean, all is in there, but you dont wanna see anything of it now
its like people who think they need to get alphas of games which they want, but the games are long not done, then all start moaning how crap it is (unreal2, halflife2 *cough*)

so is there really enough time to get a karma ball working before the next version, including netcode wise? its going to be an enormous effort i think...

As I've already asked in us44rs blog:
Will it be necessary to always have physics on high then? o_o

hum, just a thought will this karma ball, when the ball is shot with a banana into a wall, will it be affected of the screw or what u say and not bounce like it does now?

No, it will not. The ball is set to do physics regardless of physics detail.

It used to kind of do that by fully mirroring the banana direction when it hit a wall (even volleys banana-ed at some point

1.4-1.5-ish?)
Was removed because it was too unpredictable I think
Anyway..this karma ball will probably have a huge impact on performance /o\ won't it?

ok just saw movie

looks cool, shame all we mostly see is you volleying against the wall and we get to see it roll much
only bad thing is = i sometimes use the friction to make the stop quickly for like passing and boost tricks
