DBL rules?

No charter or bylaws to govern all the aspects of the league?
The existing rules aren't enough. What do you do with a team that dissolves and reorganizes under a new name while some members reorganize under the old name?
Who is entitled to an existing league slot/ranking after this breakup/reorg?

also there is no limit in the trading between teams in the same clan. This does not need changing for the top leagues, since all of us are honest enough to not pull anything cheap like that. It most likely won't happen with any team, but it would be good to have a limit, or an admin has to accept the trade or something of that nature just in case.

There's also nothing governing in there as to expulsion of teams from the league either...
Surge, you're missing the point of this topic.
I regret I don't have the time to research and offer any solutions, nor can I join in any effort to hammer out proper bylaws and rules to cover all the possibilities. I'm just pointing out that it needs attention.

The rules need to be in place now, not after we are in mid-season. I want to know what is expected of my clan and others before we start. Do you think that is atleast a possiblity?

You will get them in time.

theres not much to revise, just clarifications and minor additions. Theres a lot of leeway in the rules currently.
Also, what Hoju said is true. In our game against Rush Blue a few days ago they had 5 players but used Psyche from Rush Red but we agreed to play because RusH blue didnt have a keep w/o Psyche. There are some catchs in the rules that would forbid that but we did that in the inrest of fair play. Also, even without a division in teams like RusH and SoP we get used to playing with some players and will always play with them as our partner (offensively and defensively) because we mesh well together. As far as i'm concerned this rule should be removed compleyely for now untill it is abused.

Maybe it's just my bad english but I dont get that... it has to be removed until it gets abused doesn't seem to make sense to me :S

i think he means that you should remove the rule before it is abused.... not untill it is abused

Yes, I thought this way, too, but that rule can't really be abused I think because it was made for such situations...

no no, take out the rule completely for now. If a team decides to abuse it by making 2 teams in differnt divisions with the exact same players then put the rule back into effect.

well just make a rule that says a player can't be on the roster of more than one team.

from the rules page:
"Players must not play for more than 1 clan"
i assume this means only 1 division too... but you might want to put something up to clarify bazzi

There is nothing to clarify.... They must not play for more than 1 clan and can exchange 1 player between squads!
