go get it and read all I wrote
Linux users read the readme and report if it works fine.
If testing is successfull we'll turn this right into 2.2, we plan no more changes.
DBL3 is updated, so you can start PU's, if you have access (\o/)

I got quite a few errors in my deathball.log after playing a bot match. Would posting it here help you remove them? I guess you'd get the same errors too so it probably isn't neccesary.
Apart from that 2.2 seems great. Bots are much improved and no obvious bugs noticed. Only thing I'd say is that the bots seem to volley the ball a bit too much, both to themselves (via the wall) and towards goal.

As a linux user for me to get the menu at the front to display 2.2 instead of 2.1 i had to go into my deathball.ini and find and replace all instances of Deathball with deathball. In your zips the folder is deathball not Deathball which makes a difference.
I havent been able to play it online as there are no servers yet.

@firecell
yeah linux is case sensitve
the good part is that ut2004 isnt, cause then we would have to download lots of maps from linux servers. most of the maps there are completely lower case
forgive the windows users.

Yeah im just saying because if they stick to Deathball or deathball it wouldnt effect windows users at all but instead they like to mix Deathball and deathball together for some reason.

I didn't need to change anything else from in the deathball. ini than just do the three changes I've said.
FireCell, try to rename your deathball folder to Deathball (or wise versa) and try to launch DB with -mod=deathball or -mod=Deathball (what ever is the way you do normally). I don't remember how I setup DB, and I'm in Windows now so can't check either.
linuxdefault.ini looks good though, so it should work well. ggDavid

odd, i played a bit on juice servers, and the game was really choppy (especially the ball), all with 80fps and a ping of 60

wasnt really playable

Sorry i havent had much time to read the post, im currently in college.
I know there will be a 2.2 full release, which will be a big file. Many will have to update servers from scratch.
I may be mistaken but, your going to do a file update, like 2.1a , b , c .... so that i dont have to upload all 2.2 but a small 3/4mb file which will get me from 2.1(h) - 2.2.
Sorry for the sentences in a rush.. but you should get what i mean

teidon the zip for 2.1 (which have to update from) has deathball as the directory. So i left it as default i launch it with mod=deathball. Maybe you changed the directory to Deathball but i left everything as default.

I can't help it until v2.3 or so. It's a prediction problem (in ball catching) I guess, but it's hard to make it more accurate since it will cost CPU time....
