I just created the Deathball directories and did a:

*bump*

Meh! Tried everything else posted in the DB forums about getting Deathball to run under UT2004 under Linux and none of it worked :( Just reinstalled the whole of UT2004 and still getting the same dumb responce when running it. This seemed the error most similar to mine so will post my error log incase someone has any ideas.

Yeah, I got pretty much the same thing:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/games/ut2004/deathball/Deathball.sh
Failed to find object 'Class Deathball.04Sse/U24s

Exiting due to error
Deathball seems to be the only mod I haven't gotten to work under Linux so far. Most mod developers don't even know their mod works under Linux.

Are you all using the ut4mod version of Deathball?

Okey... I asked about this on the Epic mailing list, but nobody had answer. I guess I have to setup my own Linux box.

Wibble :D

Might be able to join you on the field one day if I can ever get DB working in UT2004.

Gah! same problem here.

I too have got just about all the other mods working for UT2004 on Linux.

Biggest problem with this is that it is a non-obvious error message :(
