There is a problem with servers crashing on map switches. It may not be the maps at all. Even the maps that came with the beta download, crash on map switches at times. It's very Random.

I've been able to play all the old ut2003 deathball maps I've tried. All the maps in my sig, besides peacefull night (tree static collision gone), work fine.
I've seen random server crashes and player crashes when loading maps. Small cube the other night crashed 6 times in a row when we tried to switch to it.
If you are crashing everytime on non exe maps, I would look at your set up again. Download and use Blue Ridge or Mountain keep as a test. I played both numerous times without a problem besides the random crashes I've mentioned.

Yeah, all the UT2K3 maps work for me. I've downloaded some of your maps off other sites, twigstir, and they're pretty good. Small Enclosure was the best bot match I've had... nice work. I have like 30 DB maps in my folder, don't know if I want anymore because then... I won't know what to do! But I don't play any of them anyway, except smallcube for training. I just play online, which is, of course, the way to play.

I was on his server last night - map switches worked for a few custom maps, so I think he's set now.

My UT2003 versions of my DB maps crashed quite frequently when it was loading them, but since I've converted them to UT2004 (ironing out several bugs in the process) they haven't been crashing much at all.

Converting them to 2004 makes them incompatable with the ones of the same name on existing redirects. You really shouldn't host maps that you didn't create or update them. Let the author do that so they can get a rename and not cause incompatable file conflicts.
