Deathball on UT2k4

I downloaded the 1.9b to my UT2004 file, then I downloaded the beta. The only problem is, since I dont have UT2003, it created a seperate file (out of my UT2004 file) and named it UT2003, with all the deathball files, so I have everything in the beta download, and the deathball thing in its own UT2003 file. now what?

just move the stuff and delete the dbwar and db tennis stuff, might want to wait a few days so that there are some ppl to play with though

does the EXE file not ask you for an install directory?

like x:\\UT2003\ ?

Change to

x:\\UT2004\ if so.

OR

If not, just copy said files from each folder,

so UT2003\System files -> UT2004\System
UT2003\Textures files -> UT2004\Texturs etc

Then apply the UT2K4 zip again, just to make sure..

Then delete (from UT2004) dbwarfare.u and tennis.u or stuff to that effect, so it works ;)

I noticed whenever i try to join any game now i can't just join the game, i have to spectate then hit join when ive entered as a spec, I am positive this is due to DB, because i never had this problem before.
Guess its time to delete DB

JR, NO!!
"so UT2003\System files -> UT2004\System
UT2003\Textures files -> UT2004\Texturs etc"

you fuck it all up that way, it has to be in ut2004\deathball\system etc.

hm, ive already installed it in both directories, so if i just delete the files above from ut2004 folder and leave the ut2004\deathball ones all should be fine?

Does it have to be so sloppy, so all files in the deathball directory none in the normal Ut2004/system/ dir? when i tried joining a server it tried to download the map although the map was in ut2004/deathball/maps/
so should i move the maps to the ut2004/maps dir?

dont run it using the regular ut2004.exe

This install method is fine for dedicated servers, but for servers that allow voting and gametype variation, it will be a problem.
