Hardly call it a bug, just something needs changing not fixing. its up2 the defence to push the defence away from the point of 'taking a hit and rmb'ing it', and if the keep cant save it, time for a new keepr.

speaking of bugs, i guess know who is guilty for the 'through-deflects'. not really surprising it's unreals tickrate. i.e. the measured hitlocation is already within the catch radius, thus the balls velocity is mirrored at an incorrect normal and might end up flying through the defender... (see picture)

so all you need to do is calculate where the ball's path intersects the catch radius for the first time (the assumed hit location)...

I don't know any keeper that can save those consistently from the line shev

Besides, you can see the dodge coming so you can do something about it (score or pass).

Whereas with the '2.4e'-situation..sure you can see one coming, but when an attacker has the ball near the pbox all I can do is hope he'll get into the pbox for me to kill him or to start charging for me to shake him, meanwhile hoping I'll be able to deflect it
There's really not much you can do (besides, of course, making sure he never gets the pass in the first place..which isn't always a possibility )..

It is savable, i have seen many saved by myself and especially tita, i think he can vouch for that (sorry davidm i havent seen you keep since 2.4c, orney cant save crap)

it is the matter of looking where he is aiming and then dodging the right way to catch it if too far volley it.

i couldn't be bothered to subclass half of deathball again, so i reused DB_Offside and you'll have to choose DodgeDeathball to get the fix
