yep we do need more NA clans. But we won't get them. In NA it seems like the rate at which new people are coming into the game is roughly the same as the rate people are leaving, maybe even a bit less.

Consider that maybe only 1 out of every 3 or 4 new players has the potential and desire to become a skilled mainstay. That means that for just ONE new NA clan you'd need about 20 to 30 new players to come into the game, someone decide to start a clan, and rally the other promising players to join up, all while resisting offers from the established clans. And if they don't pick up the right players they'll get pummelled and quit. We saw LOTS of that in DBL's early days.

When was the last time we got a new clan that wasn't formed from the remnants of a few other clans that broke up? V3? And that was damn near EVERY good player that wasn't already in a clan at the time. In the meantime like 5 other clans have dropped off the face of the planet.

I dunno, things definitely aren't promising on this side of the pond these days. We can say "euros suck" all we want but they have about 30 clans over there. Euro db is very much alive and well. NA db feels stagnant at the least, if not dying outright.

My position from the last weeks play seems more def than anything else. Ive also learned i cant keep for shit

I would like to take part, too, however I seem to be quite a bit above the average age. As there seems to be no time planing yet, maybe I can make it an option for me to take part or not, depending on how my time allows it.

Can you join this deathball academy without joining a clan at the end of it? I like the idea of deathball academy and being taught, but i dont want to be in a actual clan with fellow students afterwards, since i already have one, but am not very good at DeathBall and just want to learn.
