it was about meshes
i make many tex by my own, but most top mappers have no clue bout that stuff
a mapper's job is to do the shapes, the brushes

heh oh ya, still left from the old version :D
at first i build some placeholder map (you remember the very first cube urgh) and added some stuff and replaced it piece by piece
but didnt care about smallcube anyways, concentrated on cube

It doesn't matter if DavidM thinks Feep is a thief. If that's what he wants to think, just let him. Personally I don't care if Feep thieved or not. This map pwns, plain and simple. DavidM may not consider it worthy of a place in 1.7, but I consider it a more than worthy addition to my DB map list.

So it's OK to be unable to make your own textures but not OK if you can't make static meshes! :eek: Sheer hypocrisy from the master yet again... :rolleyes:

It is considerably easier to create your own texture than it is to make a static mesh. So how many 'top mappers' do you know that can make a static mesh but can't create a texture? :confused:

Some Questions:
If you so good at making textures, why did you 'steal' the skyscraper texture from Unreal Tournament? ;)

Did you get permission to use the crowd chant, goal & pass cheers or did you record them yourself, and if so, did you get permission of every person cheering to use an audio recording of them as it is an invasion of privacy to make a recording of someone without their permission? (See copyright law) :p

Why would anyone want to join a team that has a leader that doesn't even follow his/it's own rules? :rolleyes:

Comon dave its a new good map, Its probably only you who gives a toss if its got pre-used static meshes or whatever ffs :|

DAVID M, you challenged us to find just ONE static mesh you didn't make in DB-Cube, well I've found one and it's used 480 times plus without it you would be seriously lacking most of the atmosphere that this type of map has.

What is it?
StaticMesh'SC-Intro_Meshes.CrowdSheets1' - THE CROWD!

So unless you made that for UT2003 either
1 - get off your high-horse, shut your gob and recognise mapping talent when you see it rather than slagging it off for some piss poor excuse because you can't get even close to it's quality :mad:
or
2 - make your F**KING own then you come back with what is at the moment only your crappy hypocrisy. :devil:

I think that's pretty clear...:lol:

ehm, I am talking about brushes and lighting mainly

that mappers dont make their own textures and sounds is normal, normally every company has their own people for these things.
and making textures is not easy as all, as you stated it....
look at all the DE and Epic packs...99% is garbage

should i really comment on the crowd mesh? its all about the texture thats on it, not about the oh so complex sheets which they are on...


i see, i am the only serious mapper here, they would all agree with me on that :|

im pretty sure my map is 100% custom textures and 100% custom static meshes \o/

DavidM, will you ever admit you're wrong?

i can't help thinking that if you couldn't make static meshes but were a texture making demon, you would be complaining about custom textures instead.

brushes and lighting have always been the mappers job, rest is coming from special artists
it just would be too much for one person....

but stealing brushes...its just a contradiction...you cant call it mapping, its puzzling!
