Its totally wrong to steal and pirate stuff. I don't dispute that.
But I'm a souless, immoral asshole and these things only matter to me if it directly affects me and 'my bin collecting'
I personally have the view that games companies are not stupid and know their software is going to be pirated. They take account for this in various ways. Most notably online keys and licensing.
Everytime I get close to feeling morally corrupt I remember all the times I've recieved shitty customer support for products I've paid for through all that hard bin collecting work.
PS: Just to re-iterate for people who need to be told things twice cos they cant read - piracy is wrong - but if companies want to stop it - they can.

As much as i feel for the programmers in this sorta thing, its a little more complicated then when someone downloads the program ID suffers,
remember every unit bought from stores doesnt nec mean it effects ID. Activision is the distro guys. and they get paid from stores like walmart and such to have the item to sell. so someone downloading has more effect on the stores who want to sell the item then the software companys no?

Doom 3 is annoying to play.
You have a flashlight but you can only either have it out, or a gun out so 90% of the time you're shooting at something in the dark (which is anoying). It doesn't occure to him "hey I can use my shoelace and TIE the flashlght to the barral of my shotgun to make things simple".
