dodging is about the timing of when your wanking spanners mash the keys.

im afraid im forced to agree that adding this is not a good option to DB, it will take all the skill that takes to predict where is the attacker shooting at.... keeper can just wait for him to shoot and dodge fast....

i know this coz i kept with 120 ping, i had to predict everythin ;)

Nothing will be added without proper testing, if it unbalances or ruins the art of keeping, it won't make it.

uhm, actually I planned to add instant-dodge anyway
makes it more fair for keepers actually, compensates for the ping! i mean, the dodge double click sucks 0.1 or 0.2 secs.

GEEZ, let's train ppl who wanna be keeper.Don't change the game to make it more easy just because some peeps can't dodge in time. pls, if you can't keep, just don't keep. In real life if you can't play a sport, you don't play it, that's all....

With all this bind/stuff/prog.....we will become to let the computer play alone, and we just all see the game in spec mod....:confused:

Yeah sequa... I know how it works, but it fucks up your chat, and i found it easier to just use double dodge and change the double press time in ut2003 official options.


anyway...1 click dodge = not win, sorry.

edit: click means press

I agree with DavidM.... sorry, but I do.

So pressing double strafe-left/right will not make you dodge any more in 2.0? And you can only dodge by using the dodgeleft/right keys?

If this is the case I like it. Would also stop keepers from making quite stupid mistakes by dodging by accident.

By accidental dodging i mean:
Keeper expects a far corner shot and moves a little to the left, the shot goes very close to his left side so he presses the left key again. Then he overshoots the ball by dodging even though he made the correct decision and would have saved the shot.
