No idea if it is correct or not.
Answer: A person. When a baby is in the womb, the navel is open, but the other nine orifices of a person (two eyes, two nostrils, two ears, one mouth, two openings for excretion) are all closed. When the baby is born, the navel is closed, but the other nine open.
This was a riddle presented by Sheba and solved by Solomon, according to some Jewish text.
