Agreed. I just worked it out yesterday. Irritating.

Till now (I'm currently on minus 33) the levels that I had problems with were:

18 (musical thing: I solved it mostly guessing)
30 (I tried almost everything, but on a wrong pic)
52 (it wasn't complicate enough, I complicated it more!)
61 (not because of the password "hacking", but because of a very strange logic of mine that told me I don't need to enter the mail archives)
70 (couldn't understand how to form a word from what I had)
74 (took me a lot to figure out the way)
80 (searching for chicks was a nightmare)
-21 (first elephant thing: I rearranged the code to look nicer )
-24 (the first step was the hardest, but only because I made it so)
-29 (damn sequence!)
-32 (I was close to invent a new cryptography system )

The list is still open

<edit> Added to the list: -34, beta, gamma (unfair from my pov), delta, theta and lambda. </edit>

the hardest one were:
1) -34 A KILLER
2) -32 (i guess my brain was turned off... took me about a week)
3) gamma (i quitted here, and came back 2 months later)
4) 81 (had never heard about that extension)
5) 47 guessed the answer... tried all the possible chords
6) 8 was tricky for such an early level
7) 21 took me ages
52 of course!! took me ages as well
9) beta i remember the week asking frkyjenn for help, and i had the answer the 1st day!
10) -29 the sequence!!
11) -43 made it a lot harder than it needed to be

and i must be forgetting a lot more...
i made 72 and 76 pretty quick, everyone finds them hard... they were both NICE levels...

Well, now I don't feel so bad about having to ask on that one for help...

And yes, so far the new lambda has definitely made the hardest level charts... maybe even second in all of notpron, to only kappa...

Ok, here are the hardest levels of the negatives and positives.

1: Level 52
2: Level -40
3: Level -31
4: Level -6
5: Level -34
6: Level -12
7: Level 30
8: Level -28
9: Level -29
10: Level 8

Oh, yeah, 47 was pretty hard. But not for me, my mother is a teacher in music, she solved it in no time. Ha, ha, ha, that isn't called cheating I hope, just to make use of the resources available.

I'm really surprised #52 is regarded one of the hardest levels by so many people... I solved it in less than 15 minutes, but maybe being from Europe helped... As for myself, the ones I truly hated so far are the levels that require musical knowledge such as 18, 41 or 47.

I'm from Europe and level 52 was still a hell.

level 66 is the SOURCE of all my problems....................on it right now.

lol anand every level is the hardest when you solve it. After you solve it, it's much easier.
