What if the optimum power was achieved by releasing half way along the meter bar? Using a non-linear scale, releases close to the centre of the bar would still have reasonable speed, while those going further away from the centre become noticeable weaker in power...
Think along the lines of the 'oldskool' golf games, like PGA Golf from the Commodore64:lol:
