Shouldn't that be basically the same language? I mean, Brazilians should be able to understand Portugal's Portuguese, shouldn't they?

DavidM wrote: Since so many complain about Notpron being in english etc....I decided to translate the first 11 levels into some other languages, to introduce more people to it.
They don't need to know english anyway since for the other levels, it's just about translating maybe 2-3 words.

And for all this I need people to help me with the translations.
I need 2 persons for all languages, so they can correct each other in terms of grammar and mainly style...which is very important.

Spanish [have 2]
Italian [have 2]
French [have 2]
Japanese [0]
Polish [have 2]
Portuguese [1]
Russian [1]

German is done by me already

So if you wanna help me, talk to me on icq: 62195198, email me (davidm at deathball dot net) or talk to me on the chat.
When you apply, tell me about your notpron status.

If you think YOUR language should be used too, come talking to me.

I will also need some PR help in those languages.
And yes...this job will be paid!

David, i have just sent you an e-mail. As i wrote, I can translate every single thing to Spanish! Awante Boquita Tricampeon! Regards...

In fact, there´s some differences between the brasilian and the portuguese portuguese...

The differences are not THAT big, but I think that, in some cases, would be big enough to make some misunderstoods...

I don´t know how to talk the two portugueses(I think almost no one knows, since is a little useless) so, I can´t know if the differences can make any big problem...

but there´s some words that you write the same in both languages, but does not mean the same thing and stuff like that...

there is some differences in the way to write some words and I think that there is a little difference in grammar...

In other words: I think the languages are not similar enough to it.

So, it´s better to choose one, or make the two languages.

Or make just one portuguese and let the brasilians or portugueses try to use a "language which is not that similar"

I'd vote for the Brazilian version just for the simple reason that there are defintely more Brazilians than Portuguese people.

:D

Nice.
I can talk the brazilian portuguese :D

(but not the portuguese one)

:D

(Five of my friends started notpron too... but they stopped at level 19... this better of them..)

So, if you need help with brasilian portuguese, I can help.

so what is the difference between those 2 portuguese types?

what level are you at?

I guess you may let Filipa and Madmeister talk about that and find out the differences :D

The only thing I know about the differences is that some words have different meanings in each language, and some words that have the same meaning are written in different ways...
I don´t know much about portuguese portuguese to be more specific...

and I´m at level 47(I was about to ask if that´s enough...)

Is Filipa someone who talks portugal´s portuguese?
If she is, maybe we can talk about try to make something that would worth for the two portugueses, and if we see it´s impossible, we tell.

uhmmm, no Dutch translaters needed??. I can do that. There's a difference between Portuguese Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese.

But I want a Dutch version

I'm at level 72.
