So the only reason I had ops was that I was catas friend ? Sure then my privileges should be removed, I don't want any favours. What hurts more is that you are basically saying I don't deserve ops, and I never deserved ops in the first place, I only got it because I was friends with you (cata). Nice to find this out after 2 years.
Why does being catas friend and being a dbpickup op have to be mutually exclusive ?
Can someone not be catas friend and be a good op also ? Is everything I've ever done in the channel all been for nothing because I never deserved ops ? Surely I've done something over the last 2 years that was worthwhile and earned me the right to be an op ? I've certainly had many players tell me they liked how I was fair and honest with people, yeah I had one or two run-ins with a couple of players but show me someone who hasn't and I'll show you a generally inactive op.
I see fro still has ops. Is he not your friend ? You've even met up IRL.
You did also publicly state (in this forum or dbpickup forums) that you did not really care what happened in the channel anymore, so you have reversed your position. You say you are supporting a good decision by the group of admins in #dbpickup but I was not consulted, and feediko and holy didn't know of it either, so I guess you referring to goldy and wibble, hardly a group.
Cata I don't envy your situation it must be said, you cannot please everyone all the time and a minority (I don't believe it was the majority) of players are calling for change in the channel. I believe you have acted in good faith and in the interests of the channel and players. I also thankyou for starting the channel and developing it because without it deathball would not have been the fun team game it is, it's just this time I've ended up on the bad side of the equation and it could have been handled better.
If dbpickup ops and catas friends have to be mutually exclusive then I would rather be catas friend.
