It's a piss take you should have to unlock a game you've paid for. Some people have taken hours trying to unlock their copies, others don't have an internet connection and are therefore denied the chance to play a single player game. A farce.

The percentage of people, at least in the Western World, with no home internet access is likely to be small - im guessing, but im sure about 80% will have some sort of connection... i just hope the other 20% arent FPS buffs :p

It sounded like a good copy-write techinque, till someone said it was working and on Suprnova... hopefully it wont catch on and become the norm then.

Heretic, try to delete the HL: Source folder and run it again, make sure its 100% downloaded.

EDIT: oh, and HL:Source is a dissapointment :P well, not exactly, coz i already knew what they would do, but would it be that hard to use HL2 models at least?

Wat difference have you noticed in h/l source?

ive only played 10 mins of it, but so far all i can tell is them boxes which you have to jump down 1 by 1 while they are hanging from a rope, now swing when ya walk on em.

thats all ive noticed, may look a little more polished, but maybe not....

exactly, though i dunno what kind of expansions they could do to properly end it. however, i encourage expansions if done right to be in the lives of the other people, such as barney, or even from the combine POV

great game, though certainly not the best game i've ever played, but one great experience.
