it all depends on how the balls are lying in the beginning, sometimes the start position is just shit and there is not much you can do

in level 4 i collected 10 coins AND finished the level in time
still couldnt access the bonus level

get 10 coins in lvl 4, then you have to beat level 5 without dying to get the bonus level. it just gives you a golden ball and adds time to your game. btw, im on lvl 56

every 10 levels you beat, past lvl 15 it takes 10 seconds off the clock im at 50 seconds a lvl now :)D
