General protection fault

Hi guys... deathball mod doesn't seem to be too happy on my computer here.

I installed 1.9b just like DavidM is describing, then extracted files from 2.0 part 1 and part 2.

Launch it. Server list doesn't work - it tells me there are 3 servers and 0 players, but I don't see any names, just one big texture stretched all over the area where server list is supposed to be.

So, I launch a "Botmatch". With no bots.
(or with bots, doesn't matter, tried it a bunch of times)

And all I get in return is this:

UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2004-03-03_02.42]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 1154 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 (5664)

General protection fault!

History: UObject::ProcessEvent <- (DB_BombFlag DB-IceDemon.DB_BombFlag, Function Deathball.DB_BombFlag.home.BeginState) <- UObject::GotoState <- UObject::ProcessEvent <- (DB_BombFlag DB-IceDemon.DB_BombFlag, Function Engine.Actor.SetInitialState) <- ULevel::SpawnActor <- (DB_BombFlag) <- UObject::ProcessEvent <- (xBombSpawn DB-IceDemon.xBombSpawn0, Function XGame.xBombSpawn.BeginPlay) <- BeginPlay <- UGameEngine::LoadMap <- LocalMapURL <- UGameEngine::Browse <- ClientTravel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level Ice Demon <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

Any ideas ?

Dude, if u could read the above error is cause you have to move all your DB files to X:\Ut2004\deathball\*FOLDERNAME*
MOVE ALL MAPS
INI INT FILES as david M has listed above.
After that delete the DB.ini file and then run the Deathball.CMD to load deathball. AND YES THIS IS A VERY VERY BETA , it has lots of major bugs , it should have been kept more private yes, and Yes it is a little messed up but it is still fun..

Perhaps it shudda been more private :/ This is gunna put people off.

I completely agree. Current beta is more like alpha that was just quickly ported to ut2k4 without any proper testing - I wouldn't give it to even private testing yet...

oh well,
sorry now it's good, it was just a problem with setting, couse user.ini is different from deathballuser.ini so if u set something for ut2k4 u need to set it again when u play DEathball...

I only got online once. It was very different playing when the other player was invisible. The only thing I saw was a red pointer above his/her head. When he/she got the ball, that was invisible to. Very different.

i installed it properly and i had that problem, this should never have made public release imo, people seeing the problems are just gonna think "fuck that" deleting the deathball.ini file worked for me
