I dont quite see how
People wanted a new version - they got their new version.
So hes not 'nailing the lid shut' on anything, hes giving people what they wanted.

Plus nothing stops you from playing any previous version, should you prefer.

My point is, what's left of our community will no longer GROW with 2.3 once 2.4 is completed will it? Any potential Australian players who come to this site will naturally want the newest version. Then they'd find that there are no Australian 2.4 servers because nobody else wanted to play it.
That didn't occur to you did it?

It grew in the first place? hard to believe
But thats besides the point, like I said, to get to 2.3 every one had to accept changes - Just like every one going to 2.4. If you dont like those changes, if a community dont like those changes, carry on playing 2.3 (NA are playing 2.3 often I believe)
Its not a matter of 'oh a new version is out, that means we can no longer play the older one - oh sigh our community is dead now gg DavidM' (Not like its alive as it is tbh)
I also dont see why you in particular are posting for the Australian community, being a huge Fizzy fan, shouldnt you be following his no db rules? I dont think he'd appreciate you being off your leash

That's rich Ghost, I play what I want when I want. I've been playing quite regularly til recently (busy with uni stuff). Of course you'd know all about being on a leash wouldn't you.

I dont think my ability to leave the house is anything to do with a leash, eh?

I could elaborate further, but not without getting more personal than necessary seeing as it has nothing to do with Deathball (not to mention it's stuff that you'd probably prefer to have kept private), so I'll drop it.
P.S. Hi Messy <3

sorry arma but you are really a flog, please dont take his opinion as representative of aussie opinion, at the moment 2.4 opinion is still divided over here, but then again every version has been like that. it might die, but only because of a lack of server support not lack of player interest

Flog wasnt the word that came to my mind.
Back on topic, ive said it before but: To get to 2.3 people had to accept change. Whats so different this time? The fact we were on 2.3 for so long?

flog is a great word, you can use it for everything, especially flogs. i think the most stupid thing is to have a hard opinion about something before its even happened and try to argue down to people about it to make them look stupid. why dont you guys argue it after its out and your arguments will actually have a cement base

I wasnt arguing which was better, I was arguing over giving things a chance, and against the people already putting it down.
