New DB Player guide

Post by Catalyst88 »

Okay, since newbies seem to get short-changed a lot of the time now, and it's very difficult to pick up a lot of the stuff in DB straight off, I thought I'd attempt to write a new player's guide for DB 1.8+ in the same sort of vein as shuri's was a while ago. This is a community thing, so if there's anything you think should be worded differently or you want to add then feel free to make comments and criticise it. Also, if you want to make some pictures to help explain different parts of it that'd be cool too :).

DB Player Guide Part I

Planned:

Part II - Basic positioning and tactics: explain what the different positions you can play on the pitch are and how to play them (ie keeper, sweeper, mid, attack, etc).

Part III: Advanced stuff (little tricks and things that are useful in-game).

Err, feel free to take a look :)

This is a really good idea, and I think a lot of players could benefit from it.

(Me! Me! Me! Another player in the making, I think!!)

I really do need someone to do some pictures to explain things... or I may have to get paint out :) And you don't want to see that ;)

Nice job Cata.. i also think something like this (when it's more complete) should be included in future versions of DB.

On the subject of future versions, anyone know when we can expect version 1.9? Any chance it will be out before the next league starts?

its quite good cat, but methinks it should be said somewhere that while volleys may look fancy normal shots are equally as effective when used properly. im sick of whores :/ dont need more

I almost exclusively use normal shots... I thought I'd said what you say but if I hadn't I'll put it in :) I totally agree with you.
