I feel the urge to share some hints, reassuming everything from this thread I think is useful, everything I think is wrong or right (I'm talking about nudges, hint and comments made by other players)
1. Focus on the page title. If you're not a native speaker or - as I am - computer/web savvy enough, you could totally miss the sense of it. Make sure you get it.
Don't go further until you do.
2. Someone wrote, at a certain point: "Countries are unimportant". That's just plain false and a clear misdirection.
3. If you feel some pins are not in the position they should be or they lead to nothingness... You are right. But the level has no mistakes, they are not wrongfully placed.
4. Use the background thing after you connected the page title with the map, ignore it until you have everything you need. You will know what I'm talking about when you will have it.
I did not like this level, since it's not precise enough and I find there are not enough nudges to point you in the right direction, reason why I found necessary creating this post.

This level has me stumped for no reason, I know what the title and the map connect to, but I don't understand why the background connects, could I pm someone for some assistance?

For those of you stuck at the background thing: The model is unimportant, it's just an fairly well-recognized example of the thing.
