Finally, I'm here, too. After being on Lambda for over half a year now (thx to all who helped me ...) and after reading this Nu-Thread, I just can't expect it to try remote viewing :)

Oh just fuck off grant! And David too... Such a huge load of bullshit this remote viewing shit. Lucky guesses. Im sure if i made a hundred guesses i would be correct too.

I still think this level is the one that ruined notpron.

E: Has the "bio-logic"-thread been deleted or what happened ? I can't find it anymore. That thread used to be awesome entertainment.
This is true. Hundreds of guesses would work... but I only made one.

I'm not 100% sold on the methods either, actually. I just did it my own way. The recommended procedures are just that: recommended.

This quote seems pertinent: "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." -Aristotle

And it fits for my situation as well. I will openly admit that I didn't think this would work before my attempt. However, I knew that an honest attempt wouldn't hurt me. And in the event that one (or even several) honest attempts didn't work, I wouldn't have to amend my way of thinking. Easy.

So my only recommendation is to just give it an honest shot. Then again, I'm posting in response to something several months old, so who knows if the intended recipient will return.

===

Also, to the other guy seeking names: I'm Erick Nefcy, the 4th solver. March 1st, 2009.

Weird: Seems someone has beat me to it. When I first got the idea of putting all our names on wikipedia, one of the bots on the webpage kept deleting it so it didn't work... Shout out to whoever managed it. Cheers. Also, I think most of us would want our real names up there, not our usernames, so whoever posted the list there:

Alex Chen May 13th, 26th Notpron solver in the world.

That sounds so epic. :)

I need to point this out once again. Most solvers got it at their first attempt.
And in case someone is randomly guessing, I'd notice that. That's why I manually handle this level via email. So I can prevent "brute forcing".
But nobody tried that yet.
Sure, there were some who tried 10+ things and all were wrong.

This has nothing to do with Nu but I didn't want to start a new thread for this..

Just wanted to let David know that BBVD is playing a Christmas concert in a town near me this coming Monday. I'm looking to see if I can score some tickets to go.

How cool is that? I never would have known about these guys if it weren't for notpron. :)

Yeah go on making me jealous....
It's not like they would come over here.... nobody knows them here. And even if they did, they'd probably still be 900km away.

@ Eitcchhh

Some time ago a discussion about "new medicine" existed in this thread.
Claiming to be off topic in comparision to level Nu a new thread called
"Bio-Logical" was made up. A friend of mine took several screen shots of it.
I'm wondering why nobody, not even David, is not willing to answer your
question(s) about this discussion. See the 11th line from the past:

Wait a sec.
Am I really expected to do some televisual ghost thing?!

I'm about to study science - how could I somehow believe in being able to remote view some kind of picture, which maybe doesn't even exist?

I will try it - really try it - but somehow I don't expect, that anything will come to my mind.

Do a proper protocol.

And don't ask how it works.
But I've shown results of previous images, if you go back some pages.
And most solved it on their first attempt with high accuracy. No clue why this works, it just does...somehow. I'm also very scientifically thinking, so it was hard to swallow this at first.

Yoo~ I've been having too much fun posting here lately. Maybe I just like encouraging people. Something like that.

Anyways, studying science shouldn't invalidate strange propositions. This can be tested, just like any other scientific hypothesis. You might muck up the results if you go in with a strong bias though. Especially when clarity of the mind is one of the required initial conditions.

I'd be happy to answer any other science related questions with regard to this if you'd like. I'm a PhD student in Chemical Engineering and I'm the 4th solver. I don't think studying science should make anything 'automatically invalid'. It should give you the tools to question everything you come across before you make an informed, unbiased decision.

Good luck!

This is rather fundamentalism instead of a scientifical approach to any problem.
DavidM wrote: I'm also very scientifically thinking, so it was hard to swallow this at first.
This is just wishful thinking, but in no way scientifically. Sorry, just my two cents.
