i'm not sure if the .exe would be on a mac ibook, but you can use other programs to do the same thing. other than that, i don't think there's any reason why you can't do the riddle, though some levels may be a bit more difficult.
it's just annoying, all the help tailored specifically toward windows users (not just in the faq, but built into the puzzle itself) with nothing but "use google to find a free, worthwhile alternative; good luck sorting through the crap" for mac users. (re: picasa and this wav player, and i suspect more puzzles in the future)
Well, you cannot please everyone. If one only knows one system, do you really expect him to write HELP files for other systems?
You were told what this riddle is created for, so live with it. You don't complain about all the other windows-specific programs and games either towards those who try to provide some help, do you?
oh, for those who are on a mac and are looking for software that emulates the wav editting capability, audacity is *really* good, and free. there are a lot out there that are misleadingly-labelled, etc.
well my point was that the WWW itself is not associated with any operating system and so if you're going to go to the trouble of making a game that is played specifically via web pages, it would behoove you to address the fact that people who do not use windows will still be able to access your game.
it would be different for me to complain to a game manufacturer whose game doesn't even run on a mac, wouldn't it?
snarky replies from you aside, it sounds like there is a "team" of people helping to run this. are you honestly telling me that in the entire team, not one of you has used a mac?
