The penix ruined mixers. It was all anyone tried to do. Over and over and over again. Got very old.

In 2.3, with the huge boost distance, no defending was necessary. You could be back at your own goal in a matter of seconds as long as you were near a team mate. Sure, the game was more end to end but I don't see that as a good thing. Reminded me of football (soccer) on the school playground. The game now punishes you if you don't have players back.

Keeping in mixers is terrible at the moment but once people learn what to do the complaints about the goal size will cease.

plus i have an idea to help volley-timing a little (to compensate for little ping changes...so you don't have to cry "hit")

from my part , i dont mind which version db is because is still db

but the real question is : " How can we trust DavidM now since 20 ppl of our community is gone "

I dislike the "demanding" mentality from DB players. Getting something from us for free for years.

DB is just a little side project that's being developed sometimes, because there is no income from it at all. Nobody can afford dedicating as much time to it as the demanding community wants us to.

DavidM, I don't want this to turn into some man-love fest, but I wanted you to know that I've been playing for a number of years and I really appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into it.
I've been in Korea for the past year, but I'm looking forward to playing DB again and maybe even do some maps. I haven't been keeping up with current events, so I don't know if my favorite mods still werk. (gib-ball) but it was always fun to kick the ball around and heap the dead into big meaty piles.
Which ever way you take the game people will complain, others will quit, and still others will join. It takes a rather adult mentality to realize that and to stick to your guns.

you dont tell people you're going to do what you think you'd like.. i cant even begin to tell you have stupid that sounds. and yes. people did quit cause of 2.4 majority of them gave it a shot. and did not like it. not only cause it was too different. but because it was half assed. im not saying its a bad version, i was ragging on it in the beginning. but i enjoy it now. i've been around gaming development for a long time. i know how mods and games work. how they should be ran. anyway, quit bein so arrogant. we realize this is "your" game but it could just aswell be an non-existing game. if we felt like it.

and its not just you who made this game what it is. should thank a lot of the public as well. k?k.
