Noobs will get moaned at with VO on....great. But they have no chance playing that. So what?

I disagree completely and it's the entire problem around here... this is a debate with NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWER! You can try and determine whether the advantages of one surpass the advantages of the other, but for now it hasn't been done either way.
In Orney's case, it's a common tactic of the insecure to attack those that disagree with said insecure person's opinions.
In the end we know one thing as it stands right now... we ARE NOT getting what I consider a significant influx of new players. In fact, in North America we've gotten maybe a couple who are really old players returning. So therefore, we are not getting any pure noobs in the game. Pubs are non-existant.
So let's recap what we have here:
- Pubs are empty 99% of the time resulting in absolute noobs uninstalling due to what they see as a lack of a community and therefore an expired mod
- More players are leaving than entering, and the players that are entering are not noobs
- In the late 1.x days, the VO servers were the ones most often populated
- In the early 2.x days in NA, there was a regular server (BuD) and a VO server (UFO) with UFO being populated much more often and BuD being the "backup" server... most noobs came as a result of the UFO server
Right now you're not getting noobs... so your points about VO being harder for noobs at this moment is irrelevant. Reg or VO, an empty pub gets nobody new. I gather from the information that people had more fun with VO in pubs than Reg because the inclusion of noobs with ZERO-EXPERIENCE wouldn't completely kill one team or the other in VO whereas it would in Reg. - If you put up public regular deathball servers and populate them, then new players will find you and join you.
- Regular deathball is fun.
- Don't let them get flamed into quitting before they can find regular deathball.
- It's sad these guys don't even get that most of the "Pro-VO" comments come mainly from regular deathball players.
Saying what you just said another way: U don't like VO because it's fun, it really isn't, your just use to playing it. Start fresh. Frame your responses with supporting arguments.
Example:
VO is a limiter of DB becuase:
support - New players only see VO servers, they join and quit because it sucks.
VO should be removed because:

Why is it important because, taking out VO causes problems (see Ghost's post on getting flamed). If pubs ever live again, then we don't need new players get flamed like ghost did. This happened all the time in the NA before VO was code in.

When VO was removed from DB all started to play regular, because they had no choise... and still they enjoyed playing, i was on public and i saw it with my own eyes, some of them moaned but they are just pissed of changes. the changes arent bad for the game its all hard work to make better game, and when we (when i say we i mean the people who really know whats DB) expirienced that VO isnt good for the community and the game, then it is the way and should be fixed. About bud and ufo server... U say ufo was on VO and was full. Bud was backup, it obviosly that people would join a full server (ufo). bud was empty? Because all played on ufo and noobs followed to ufo. no fun in playing alone.
also the new RMB shot was created for scoring and passing. if i would get a pass and catch the ball instead of volleying it.. What should i do? Then throw it in?! Or just getting killed? But its VO right? So VO kills RMB's.
Normal shots with nice spins aswell.
The game is _regular_ MORE open minded as a VO game. Man i think you are not a kid... please stop acting like u know all and use your brain what would be better a game what getting bored because its all the same scoring/save etc. (limited).
Or a "open minded" game what trys to claim up.
It looks like you people want to be outsiders and make (VO Community).. Such a shit... No one need this club. People should enjoy one game to become on the same level.
I just laugh when i play on VO server as a keeper. its so fucking boring i just save slow balls and it dosnt come to a speed ball coz i wont let them pass the open man.
U know what.. Play more regular db or pickups, maybe you will change your mind and learn the game better...
And stop that quote of all my sentece its like u run after me like a gayboy... i feel disturbed.
i dont really like u and the maker of vo mod. but i respect all players and posts because its a argument like mine.
I loved public without VO tbh i saw good talent peoples. But with VO its just a waste of skill!
