Going to Llangollen

Back from the most awesome holiday experience ever. Flew in to Liverpool, cab to Nantwich, left for Wrenbury the next day and was handed over one 69 ft and one 63 (?) ft narrowboat. I'll try to post some pics as soon as I get the pic collection on cd.

If any of you have the chance, do it. The aquaducts and tunnels leading to Llangollen are brutal!

Yes, Llangollen is a town in NE Wales. It's the end/beginning of the Llangollen canal. It's also a ridiculously beautiful town, the sort of town that Disney would never have the imagination to come up with. The only thing that can make it look poor is a comparison with the canal itself. About 38 miles long it takes 3 full days to go (upstream) from Wrenbury, England. Great people there too! :p

). And I guess Iceland is great too.

Edit: The taxi driver that took us back to Liverpool airport was a Leeds United supporter. How much of a supporter? Well, he handed me a 'Leeds United Service Crew' pin. Hmmm.

I stayed in the worst hotel ever when I went to Llangollen. It was practically falling to pieces. Nice view of the river from our window mind...
