Japan can feel hard done by I think. It was a definite penalty. Their midfield looked good but they wasted so many opportunities down the right to put in telling crosses. Australia never gave up which is hardly unusual. I thought the aussies would win but not like that.
Man, that was painful to watch. The U.S. is in real trouble unless we can can get our offense going, it doesn't help having to play the Czech Republic and Italy back to back.
Hard to judge the Czech Republic on that match. Everything they did they did well though. Losing Koller is a huge blow. The USA looked very average. No creativity whatsoever. Gotta love the FIFA rankings. Fifth best indeed.
Czech would be a very difficult team to play against for brazil and italy dont seems to be a easier lot - so the chances arent that bad the world champion will go home in 1/8-final. In my eyes they have not a chance 50+% against one of those teams...
What do you think about the situation regarding Togo's coach Messy? I'd like to hear about it from a real Togo fan. Does he want to come back or not? Will the powers that be let him?
Ghana looked good in spells but suffered in the second half. They'll learn a lot from this world cup I think. I thought Italy looked good. Toni is obviously still in great form and Totti started to find his range. Doesn't he look different with short hair?
