The greatest thing would be a final germany - england (if both get the same place in the group, the final is the first possibility to play against each other). Would be cool to face exact 40 years after the cheating final of wembley on german ground *gettig-gooseflesh*
Yeah that would be a bloody good final to watch ! and to be fair the "Wembley goal" will always be disputed, I think every team has had a ref be "unfair" to them, like with England last world cup !!
I have still never seen the 1966 match but pretty much know what happen, last Germany vs England match I can think of was the Euro 96
Well ... ! in 96 it was a tight semi-final between England and Germany and it came down to penalties, it all rested on Gareth Southgate ..... he had his run up ....kicked the ball .....noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo saved by the keeper ^^
Was the last major match I remember between the two but I don't always follow the UEFA/European cup.
Also I have to agree with you Rincewind, Sweden will be the first tense match for group B I reckon

I was sort of talking about this the other day actually, about how UK tends to be very much about "national pride" and alot of other Europeans countries aren't so much.
