Quicktime / Firefox problem

copied them again... but its still the same... do the plugins update automatically?

revised if midi was marked and it was...

They should update, yes. Sounds like your installation is borked (technical term). Personally I'd uninstall QuickTime, delete the QuickTime folder, delete the plugins and start again. It may well be fixable but it's probably easier to start over.

Might want to run a registry cleaner as well to remove any remnants.

Edit: Actually, on second thoughts, first try moving the QuickTime plugins out of the Firefox plugins folder, start Firefox, exit Firefox, move the plugins back, start Firefox again and see if that fixes it.

this is so weird.
i took the plugins out.
opened firefox, and went to a page that had bgsounds. it still plays them!...
then went to about:plugins, and found out that i still have it there (the quicktime plugin)... but now its the last plugin, it used to be the 2nd.
well, then went to the firefox folder again and saw the plugins folder.
it wasnt there...

pretty weird... well, i guess i'll uninstall quicktime, then install it again
