Maybe many players could enjoy 2.4 after some matches - maybe myself, too. But of course there are people wont enjoy it - cause they are humans and no slaves of a master-mind. Saying "my argues are right and the argues/reasons of others are wrong or stupid" is a line of reasoning, which is used in a dictatorship...

In a democracy everybody votes for his own best, not for the countries best.
This ends up in a bad mix of lots of egoistic ideas which don't work together and ruin the big idea.

So often I hear so many ideas about Deathball which just exclude each other. It's quite hard to make big homogenous thing.

But the worst here in this community is really, that an attacker complaining about something...he does not even think about it for a moment and notices, if Change A is made, it will also be made against his own team.
And nobody thinks about the side effects it has on other parts of the game.

Well, I do, and that's why many ideas were never built into the game.

side effect of having a smaller goal: keeper has a better chance... still good and balanced i.m.o, descreasing the p-box? no need..cant think of anything else. dont think you could either \o

If you shorten the goal ud need to take away the ability of the keeper being able to hit close range shots away.

which brings us back into the old dead end with lots of limitations that make the game unfair. right? yes.

no, i would reduce the goal and keep the same keep radii because they goal is too big for it! :o

so you don't have to move anymore as keeper and can save anything....so we are back to the problem in V1.1

i think keeping is fine nowadays.

I just think pickupgames are so plain and simple. You'd need clancompetition to see the true quality of it imo.

So what is your intention now with Deathball davidm? You say you will maybe do minor fixes to 2.4 but not much more and definitely no port to ut07. But you still have grand plans so where are you going with this?

This is exactly why deathball is "dieing". Instead of instantly poo pooing on him, try having a discussion. NA might be more willing to play 2.4 or try it out if we felt like you were actually listening to the feedback we had.
