It's in an interesting fact that the etymology of sinister (evil) comes from the word for 'left'.

It's interesting to see that - in medieval symbolism for example - things on the left are often evil.

The same for people wearing yellow, or people with ginger hair, or people with impairments/disabilities (cock-eyed = evil).
