offenses shouldn't have to depend on volleys to score, this should be an option not a necessity. true shooting needs a comeback soon, for the sake of db

Shooting is a skill... hovering and blasting the ball at an empty portion of the net is not.

Just put set jumping back in ffs. then it will at least take timing to volley well >.<

They have no value anymore now that the keeper has powers in the entire box which is still f'n retarded, just let him dodge in the whole thing at 30%+ speed... its not called deathball cause you can shell it to the keeper at the top of the Pbox cause hes invincible.

Smaller Pboxs wouldnt change anything except maybe force the D to stay out of it and not abuse the insta-gib.

\o/ Hey Surge, I resisted a comment in the other post you talked about keepers powers, but I do not understand why you have such an issue with the keeper being invincible and faster in the entire penalty area (at least I think that;s where you're coming from)

test this out for size, show charge is 2x as fast, and the penalty box zone is much larger, increase the shot power when fully charge.. more shots come from farther away, tho they are now a little faster it will balance itself out. if the defense is weak enough that they cna ge tin close to use that fast shot up close to easily score on the goalie, then so be it. they just trucked through p box area to get in that close. - leave volly power as it is now, so the charged shot is faster then it.

fair in mind the faster charge will increase the chance the person overpowers and bunks his shot

right now its turning into a stradigy to feign a shot with no power to get the goalie to jump out to slay the shooter in the pbox, and pick it up right away and pass shoot it.

as has already been stated MANY times, the point isn't the number of goals scored... these aren't n00bs that are supporting this idea (well if you don't include me :p) the point is to open up the game more again and make both O and D fun again

what if shots and volleys had the same power. then ppl wont spam volleys cos there isnt too much of an advantage. the only thing volleys would really have going for them is the suprise element.

i kinda agree with that but the problem is volley is stronger to be used as a tool to help score not to volley everytime like alot of people do....making them the same would kinda defete that purpose, if you do that it would be just like aiming in 1 direction and shooting in another

a slap shot and a 1 timer in hockey arnt the same but they have the same effect. 1 timers work better because the keeper will have a harder time saving it. The same goes with DB i would think, especially if people start shooting again.
