Go register at http://www.3dbuzz.com then you can either use thier online tutorials or download the video training manuals (http://sv1.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/uunr_vtmlist.php?c=13) that will help anyone who's baffled by UEd.

Well I have officially started construction of DB-TheWarehouse. Since it is likely that I will be checking and re-checking the tutorials, it will probably take me a while. Even if in the end it is something very simple and plain (I'll be experimenting with a lot of features to see what looks good, and what doesn't).
Hopefully this Warehouse idea won't have gone to waste on me.
Then again, someone else could always take a crack at it I suppose. :)

Not bad. Could do with being a bit more rounded though. ;)
Make the arena from static meshes. Cut out an empty room, make one section of the roller arena (a half, quarter, whatever!) and copy & rotate it. Looks better, plays smoother!
To mark out the Red and Blue sides, use signs on the glass (or in it ;) ) and some markings on the floor rather than round the edges.

Also, I personally feel the center should be more like the original in the film. The ball could spawn inside the commentators box (not sure it should be called a box seeing as it was round!) with the only way in at the sides (on the half-way line, not facing the goals). The Center players would spawn either at the bottom of a ladder leading up into the box or inside it.
I think there was only a low barrier between the arena and the center but it would probably be better if it had a glass/fence on top of it making a decent height barrier so that people would not just run through the center to the other side. You could make the entrance to the center also on the halfway lines.
See diagram for a better idea of what I mean...

im gonna do a static mesh cos lathe is just the best :p do you think 32 segments will be enough for the whole arena? if i try to make it more detailed it will get rather difficult to make goals...

give this one a whirl. its just the basic shape of the bowl and the textures are all obviously temporary.
