im mainly talking about the 1.7 maps, not any old map.
you know how it happened before? I remember having a map pack before between versions because people got so bored

why should davidm do this? let anyone else collect some maps and make a poll about those ones, which should make it into a mappack.

yes that would be nice. Just pick the best not-beta custom map or just maps made by the mappers and release them in a pack so that would be more official and people would install the pack on the servers
