Silliest logical mistake you made

Post by DiMono »

Without spoilers, what's the silliest mistake you made while solving any of the riddles in Not Pron?

Mine was on level 77, when for no reason at all I treated the mouse ears like they were on the right, and the words like they were on the left. I must have wasted half an hour with that mistake. Got some good reading in though...

On level -13, i made a common typo and wasted like an hour with it. I mixed up the last two letters of the solution.

Made too many to remember. well on second thought, I forgot to save the levels the first time I beat the riddle. Ended up having to solve again as I needed those levels later on. Another recently was the hint was clear as day on the pic. kept reading it as tis 70_o instead of t is 7 0_o.

On level 68 I spent about 5 days trying everything I could...to the wrong picture.

In general, I'm finding that I'm looking way too much into everything, whether or not it's important. I know that's a goal, but it ends up being embarrassing when you spend hours trying to solve a riddle you would have gotten in a few minutes--if that--when you were a child.

I think we look too deep and think to hard because DavidM has conditioned us to be that way. I know I am. Alot of times I'll have an answer and disgard because I thought it to be too easy.

Oh, I am am just the same, aic2276!
Everytime I tell myself I am not going to over think and every time I do.
My most embarrassing was -9. I kept typing in 4 *'s as that was the answer to each line. I could NOT get it into my head that the answer to any of the lines was enough.
I've lost the guest map btw, is it still there?

Well after solving level 67, I went in my car and drove down to the red-light district, and picked up what I believed to be a woman...now here is where I made my crucial logical mistake...I saw breasts...and assumed it was a woman.

I haven't made that mistake since but still, I felt really dumb.

Hope I didn't give away any spoilers.

I can't remember specific level numbers, but i know there were a couple where a string of words was needed, e.g. iloveyou, and i was just using one of the words and getting nowhere, like love! Kicked myself several times over that stupid mistache!

In a certain unnamed minus level, I couldn't see straight as the clue led me to think of togas, christians and lions.

TO-GA, TO-GA, TO-GA (for the under 25 set, that's a quote from National Lampoon's Animal House)

There are too many to mention. Suffice to say I try and make it too hard, without checking the obvious things first, then feel like an idiot when someone points this out (for example: there are no letters in the sky!).

Oh, but there were, just not part of the solution.
