Speaking of cats....

While I was going to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives.
Each wife had seven sacks.
Each sack had seven cats.
Each cat had seven kittens.
Sacks, cats, kittens, and wives...how many were going to St. Ives??

This thread had disapppeared to Page 2......thought I would save it.

The St Ives poser could be many answers, as you dont know if the man was coming from other direction or you were overtaking him, you dont know if his wives or cats or kittens or any of the combinations were with the man either

If the man walking to St Ives was a poilceman he could arrest him for multi-bigamy and cruelty to animals too.
