You're obviously saying he's a hypocrite because DavidM himself is [paraphrase] 'rather arrogant, unfriendly, illogical and/or unable to discuss' [/paraphrase].
Contradicting him on his statement would mean one would say "Affi is not arrogant, unfriendly nor illogical, and he is perfectly able to have a decent discussion".

Now, first of all I'm guessing for one to be a hypocrite one would most likely not know of his own attributes and qualities and the fact that they are the same as what they claim the other to be.
Regardless of one's self-knowledge though, there is no way a hypocrite (knowing or not knowing that he is being one) could imply that he is also as stated.
Saying "I'm arrogant" is totally irrelevant to saying "He's arrogant", regardless of whether the other might also be true.

Hence, proving DavidM wrong in this, would not be an attempt at proving that DavidM is not what he stated Affi to be, hence would not vindicate his beliefs in any way.
