i just hate being a 'junior' member

but since i missed out on the start of this whole national team thing....

tell me, whats the point of it?

The 'DB' Nations idea, I believe originally came from Jolleh and I think is was going to be a cup. However I believe that it will be some sort of league type thing now, like the DBL =| (DBL to 1 sided)

The teams are obviously built up of all the main countries that play DB, some may be combined tho, cos of lack of players.

The league would be good I think if it was CB Style where there is one out right leader, and the league has 'All' the teams in.

Looks like some of the US teams are going to play their own version of the Nations league thingy =/ pitty really since TEZC play Rush quite regularly and there are never any problems =|

It seems like a waste of players to me. If theres only going to be one or two teams per nation, then a lot of players are going to miss out (including me! sob). So i hope this doesnt become deathball's 'main' event.

At the same time, the nations with the most players are more likely to have the best teams, so i doubt we're gonna see much diversity of competition. But I think I'm just being overly pessimistic there.

It would be nice to have a world cup style event on a regular basis rather than a long drawn out league of nations, as a smaller more intense competition with knock-out stages would provide more heated competition.

So anyway, who do i have to sleep with to get into the national team?

Anyone know how many Nations we are looking at, for the compertition?

*ENG, GER, SCO, NL, POR, SCAN?, ITA, AUS, SW, SPA? USA, CAN

Are there any Eastern teams joining? from JAP, CHN, OZ?

Cat now that you have are the chosen one $\o/$ , how are you going to pick the team =). I suggest that maybe you hold trials, 1 night for TEZC, one night for DEUS etc. Or maybe 1 night for defenders and one for attackers and so on.

Or will you base it on reputation, and ppl who you know wont let you down =)

Hold pickups, over n over, where cata and sum ppl can watch and see whos good/not good and draw up a short list of like .. .. 30 .. then narrow that down...

Maybe not but it is easier to arrange a tryout for a few clan members (who are usually online together), than it is to chase all those interested around IRC for hours on end. This would cause mayhem =/ and wouldnt be fun for whoever has to do the chasing.

Also tho I suggest that all the ppl interested should be trialled on the same server, this will save ping problems in the future. Also makes it even, since everyone has the same chance.

Any idea on what server will be used as the UK server? maybe rotate it, however most ppl from outside the UK lag like hell on DEUS server =| (Why is that btw =) ?)

Stop telling me how to run the team dammit

. I've got a list of possible england players, which I'm gonna have a look through tonight and see who I'd like to trial (which would involve basically mixed games, to see how people play). Don't be disappointed if I don't ask you to come and trial, it doesn't mean I've forgotten about you

. It'll take a couple of weeks to get a solid squad down, maybe 12-14 people. And I'm trying not to be biased, I've got a couple of people who'll help me out

. After that I'll probably mostly work on tactics/training together as a team. Might watch a few DBL/CB games if guys'll let me to see how people play with their own clan too. Nothing's set in stone yet (and no, I'm not just gonna pick TEZC people

).

is there not an official vote then now? has cata really been given the job? no disrespect to cata if this is the case, but i think Rage would have been a wiser choice, only need to look at how well he has managed TEZC.. BuD were a superb team, but where are they now? :s
